Our story
Made by hand,
for a very good dog.
Gemmies started the way a lot of good things do: with a dog who deserved better options.
I’m a proud dog mom in Texas, and when I couldn’t find a collar that was as fun as my pup, I bought a bag of silicone beads and strung one myself at the kitchen table. Nugz wore it to the park. Someone asked where I got it. Then someone else did. I made a few for friends, then for friends of friends, and Gemmies was born.
Every single Gemmie is still made by hand, by me, in Texas. I’m always mixing up new colorways (usually more than I can keep up with), and I obsess over the details: food-grade silicone beads that feel great against fur, a stretch cord that slips on in seconds and never chokes, and letter beads so your best friend’s name is right there up front.

Meet Nugz
Three years old.
Micro goldendoodle.
Zero chill.
Nugz is the most loving, goofy best friend a person could ask for, and the reason every Gemmie is built the way it is. He hates anything stiff or buckled around his neck, so his collars had to be soft and stretchy. He also has opinions about colors. Every new colorway gets tested (and chewed on, briefly) by Nugz before it ever hits the shop.
